Project LIT is an organization that focuses on working with people of diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and abilities to create a productive and safe environment allowing us to reconnect with ourselves and one another.
Our focus is on the healing arts. Those who participate in our programs will be provided with the tools to reach their highest potential. We aim to inspire love, empathy, awaken perspective and self empowerment. We strive to give voice through creative expression and provide care to those who may be struggling with their mental health.
Project LIT is a new program provided to both adults and youth that uses the arts to deliver mental health information with sensitivity and respect. Within the program are learning activities and educational themes which are used to educate and explore the different aspects of the healing arts and how to apply them to daily life.
This program was created to introduce helpful resources and build support and inclusion. It's an 8 week program that includes peer-to-peer support, gives you an arsenal of healing art techniques, and culminates with a final performance. Participation is open to all who want to be involved; classes will be capped at 8 participants per session. All forms of art -music, theatre, dance, visual art, and writing- are invited to work together to create this final presentation. To inquire about the program just click on the "Contact" and send me an email.
